The first London event in a series of design dialogues between Finnish and British designers, curated by design think tank OK Do. The events bring together designers, artists and theorists operating in Finland and Britain to talk about emerging questions in design philosophy and strategic design. The first talk Making Places provides a fresh view on spatial practice from existing to imaginary places.

Sunday 19th September SWEET ARCHITECTURE – WORKSHOP AND “HATWALK” FOR KIDS
11am-1pm
A special tasting and design session of sweet architecture. In the workshop lead by architect Pihla Meskanen, participating kids build their own fantasy towers using candy and cocktail sticks as building materials. The created sweet pieces of architecture can also be worn as hats. Organized by ARKKI, School of Architecture for Children and Youth and City of Helsinki.

Saturday 2 October NIGHT MOVES - CLUB HOPPING WITH TURKU 2011 AT HEL YES!
A night of electronica galore awaits, as a special collaboration with Night Moves - Club Hopping with Turku 2011 brings top Finnish club acts from Turku, home of the Finnish underground, to the closing night of HEL YES!
A line up of dj's affiliated with the leading Finnish electronic music festival Turku Modern, includes Turku-based dj and Producer Jori Hulkkonen and dj Esko Routamaa, joined by hannulelauri from Helsinki. The Turku Modern night at HEL YES! is brought to you by Turku European Capital of Culture 2011.
